Can you throw down with Hart Deer?

Splideo favorite Hart Deer slammed us on his website recently:

Of course, I have my detractors. They are everyday people, which are the worst kind of people, because everyday people are the people who think as the world instructs, which means they live by Oprah Winfrey, Elimidate, and TV advertisements. If one person in a hundred can figure out what I’m up to, that is perfectly okay. I would take one kindred spirit for a thousand of those everyday people any day. Besides, no criticism of my art has yet to impress me, because NONE of these naysayers has had the guts to step to and take on The Hart Deer Challenge.

The Hart Deer Challenge involves a 2 man guitar duel between Hart and a naysayer. Or a representative naysayer, I guess?

“Cutting heads” is an expression used by bluesmen. It means we pick up our guitars (or “axes”), and we do battle. This is how honorable knights of music settle their differences. This is our joust. I am very flexible as to the terms and conditions. We can do battle in a public venue, or perhaps you would rather be humiliated in private. We can each bring our own axe and rig, or we can share the setup of a neutral third party mediator. We can let neutral judges decide who wins, or we can be more casual and simply measure the results by how small you feel at the end of it. Our battle can be in jazz, country, blues, rock, classical, bluegrass… I don’t care. Whatever you feel most comfortable with, that’s how I will destroy you.

I was hoping for more of a Pepsi Challenge type challenge.
